What's happening soon?

Hello again! I hope this finds you doing well. I imagine many of you have been working in your gardens and spending more time outside. I do hope you are still finding time to get into your sewing projects. These are the days when you should consider pulling out those Stripology rulers since they can decrease your cutting by up to 70%! They are the perfect tool when you want to split your precious time between loved hobbies. If anyone needs help with how to use your ruler, just come on in with a project, your ruler and fabric and I'll be happy to help you. They are on my list of most frequently used/favorite tools.

Did you miss the Faux Flange Binding workshop recently? Another session was requested. So, if you did, you have another chance! Tuesday evening, June 10th, starting at 6pm is the new one. It is a short session as I have you do it on a small "quilt sandwich" rather than on an actual project, unless you have one that is 20" square or smaller. You can click here for more details and to save your seat.

I have chosen my fabrics for a sample from this book full of gorgeous nature-based blocks. I'm hoping to get to constructing my block soon. I thought it would be great fun to have people who like Foundation Paper Piecing to come together and make projects from this book. There are 30 different blocks that can be made in multiple sizes and the book includes a variety of projects to finish. Really, the sky is the limit with these! We can make this group what we want; share tips and tricks or just sew side-by-side, we decide.

I'd like to start with the 2nd Saturday of the month, from 10am - 1pm. Registration and details are here.

If the book comes back in stock from my supplier, I may prepare a class for those wanting to get into this type of piecing. Feel free to email me at seamssewtogether@gmail.com if this is something you'd be interested in.

New fabrics and patterns continue to come in monthly and I am working on new kits and samples for those who like the quick-pick pretty projects that help to reduce the time it takes to create a project. Fall and Christmas fabrics are starting to trickle in so we can work on "cool weather" projects while it's hot out. What a great way to trick our minds into cooling ourselves off! So, keep an eye out eye out on Facebook and/or stop in the store for a quick injection of color and inspiration.

The above fabrics are a 21 Fat Quarter Bundle called Enchanted Woods from Windham Fabrics and there's a 24" panel that goes beautifully with it. They are going quickly, so you may want to move on them if you love them. Terri Degenkolb is the designer of this beautifully coordinated, good-for-any-age line of fabrics.

If you are someone who does not have air conditioning in your home and it is just too warm for you to comfortably or safely sew... please come on in and sew here in the classroom! We can adjust the temperature to make you happy and productive. There is no charge, just give a text or call to be sure space is available. 603-313-4912

Quick reminder that the store will be closed Saturday, June 28th. I'm celebrating my 28th wedding anniversary with my husband, without whom this quilt shop endeavor would never have happened.

Looking forward to seeing you soon.

Sew happy!
