Hello! I hope this finds you well and enjoying all that New England has to offer for crazy weather. We've certainly had some magnificent days mixed in with the rain. I've personally really been enjoying all the flowering trees, tulips and daffodils.
I want to remind you that there are some upcoming days that the store will be closed, so you can plan your visit accordingly...
Friday, May 16: closed all day
Saturday, May 17: closed all day
Saturday, May 31: 10am - 1pm, closing early
Saturday, June 28: closed all day
Know that you can order through the online store 24/7 and orders are shipped shortly thereafter, unless I note otherwise.
A variety of fabrics have come in since the end of VT Shop Hop. Some are modern, some more traditional and some are basics too. We are working on creating new kits and samples using these fabrics and have had a lot of fun creating ones you won't find anywhere else.
For those with little to no time to create a project, we have the Windham Fabrics' Perfect Points, Red Pickle Dish. Quickly put together a project that looks complicated and like hours have been put into it without having to do much in the way of piecing. Sometimes a cheater fabric is exactly what you need! I whipped up this pillow and quilted it in less than 45 mins start to finish, including the math.

Clothworks has this sweet collection called Daisy Field of which we brought in a few bolts. If you like to make pillow cases, there is this great double border and to make pillow covers is a panel with two large squares, and coordinating fabrics. These are great options for our pillow people!

Wilmington Prints' Sunlit Serenade gives us a spin on the traditional yellow and blue florals.

Windham Fabrics has brought us this fun, bright and whimsical collection, Twilight. These would be great in quilt projects or clothing! They have a beautiful hand.

These next fabrics are from the Morning Meadow collection by Riley Blake Designs.

And, these are newer basics added to the selection here at Seams Sew Together. A number of these would be great options to go with the latest of Lori Holt's collectible Quilt Seeds patterns brought in, Pumpkins. All nine are here currently.

There are some new and interesting patterns and books that have been added as well, for newer to seasoned quilters. Check out this new book! It would be great for someone who wants to build their skills as it is detailed and progresses from simpler to more complex. It would also be great for those of you who are seasoned quilters as well. It incorporates various styles of piecing including hand and machine work. Sounds exciting!

There are just a couple of classes/workshops left in the current schedule. A new set is in the planning process as you read this.
Saturday, May 31st, 9am - Noon is the Faux Flange Binding Workshop. This is perfect for the quilter who doesn't have the time or desire to hand-stitch a binding and is looking for a technique that will give them a binding with a 'bit extra' and not 'messy' like other machine techniques can be. Click here for more information and registration.

Saturday, June 7th, 9am - 3pm is a repeat of the Cathedral Window Table Runner Class. Learn a different technique than the age-old original! Picture it in your favorite fabrics. It is charm pack or layer cake friendly as it uses 5 inch squares. There are some kits available for the pictured runner, which includes fabrics from the Twilight collection above. Check the details and register here.

There is also the ongoing Book Lovers Quilt Club for those of you who are readers. We have a great group that meets on the last Wednesday of the month at 6pm to talk about what we're reading, and sharing the blocks we've made using the colors from the covers of our books. We have quilters of all levels, so we share piecing help and ideas as well. Come check it out, the first visit is free and if you choose to become a member, there is a small monthly fee. Membership is for 12 months. Our group seems to be really enjoying it and will be an ongoing club. So, stop in Wednesday, May 28th at 6pm.
These are blocks made from the two quilt patterns from which members choose to make.

Looking forward to working with you in the store, in the classroom, filling your online orders or on our Facebook Live (next one is Weds, May 21st at 7pm!)
As always, sew happy!
