See what's coming...
Hello! Can you believe it's almost the end of January already? I hope everyone is staying warm and getting time to quilt. Thank goodness for the sunshine!
After being gone unexpectedly the month of December, in these last few weeks I've been trying to reschedule things, catch up and also get some new fresh things started. I left quite hurriedly, so didn't get a chance to organize or plan for a month-long absence. I'm sure some things have fallen through the cracks, so please reach out to me if I haven't gotten back to you about something.
Now, for the good stuff...
I am very excited to introduce a new and unique club to you and hope that people love it as much as I do. People have already started to register, but there is plenty of space for you...
Book Lovers Quilt Club!
I will have two patterns for you to choose from. Then you pick a background fabric. When you read a book(or listen to one,) you make one block from the pattern using the colors on the cover of that book. Once you've read enough books and all the blocks are made, you construct your quilt!
We will meet once a month to enjoy a sparkling juice together, talk informally about the books we've read, show the cover(or a picture of the cover) and share the block we've made. It will be great to listen to all the different books we're reading and it may help us find new books to read. Everyone in the club will get a compilation of the books we've read. And just imagine the exploration of color as we see all the variations of the same blocks we make. It just might expand our minds on the colors we work with in the future.
Reading and quilting are both very good for your health and well-being. So, invest in yourself by joining this club, be inspired to read and quilt and spend a bit of time with others. For more information and to register, click here.
