Open for upcoming workshops!

Hello everyone! I hope this finds you well, staying warm and finding some time for quilting. Welcome to our new subscribers, I'm so glad you have joined us.

The All New England Shop Hop is coming to a close this week and it has been a bunch of fun-filled days with everyone coming in and being excited to explore the shop. Don't forget to get your passports sent out and postmarked by Nov 2nd. I want to thank those of you who spent time checking out the store and what it has to offer, I really appreciat it. If you are a distance from Bellows Falls, VT and loved the store, you can always shop online here.

Do you have some projects you'd like to make to decorate your home for the upcoming holidays? Or maybe want to make some handmade items as gifts for others? If yes, then we have some workshops that might be just what you need!

Peppermints Table Runner Workshop: Learn how to use the 60 Degree Triangle Ruler and make up this sweet runner in whatever colorway or theme you'd like. It doesn't have to be holiday themed.

Choose from two options:  Tuesdays, Nov 5 + 12th, 6-9 pm OR Saturday, Nov 23rd, 9am - 3pm

For more information and to register follow this link.

English Paper Piecing for Beginners Class: This technique started in England in the 1770s and is still popular today! Join us for this class where you will learn the fundamentals of EPP and stitching techniques and make a hexie flower. There are some modernized techniques that we'll be using, though if you are a traditionalist, you don't have to use them.

Saturday, Nov 9th, 10am - 12pm. For more details and to register, follow this link.

QAYG Tori Tote Class: Let's sew by number! This is such a fun bag to make and it is practical too! The hardest part of this project is choosing which of your favorite fabrics to use. It will be great for any occasion or as a gift.

Choose from two options: Saturday, Nov 16th, 9am - 4pm OR Tuesdays Dec 3rd & 10th, 6 - 9pm

Sew Day: Need a little break from the hustle and bustle of family celebrations? Join in on the fun of sewing with others without any responsibilities beckoning you. Bring whatever project you are working on, relax and enjoy yourself. You can bring any craft project you'd like to work on as long as it doesn't include paints, glitter or anything that could become messy around others and their fabric.

Saturday, Nov 30th, 10am - 3pm

Half Square 4-in-1 Triangle Workshop: We'll be learning how to incorporate this ruler in making half-square triangles in the various ways we already use and then go over trimming techniques. You can then go on to work on your project that you have chosen from the following...

Ring Toss Table Runner         Fraternal Twins Table Runners

Wyoming Stars Table Runner       Vortex Table Runner

Jewel Box Quilt     Mirage Quilt       Waves Quilt

You can learn all the methods or just pay attention to the one you need to work on your chosen project.

Chenille Workshop: Learn this easy technique that you can incorporate into many different projects. Once you have learned the technique you can then go on to work on whatever project you would like to incorporate it into. Some basic options are a small wall hanging, a pillow or a piece of wall art.

Hopefully this slate of workshops will get you going on your To Do List for the upcoming holidays or just for your enjoyment! It's time to get back into quilting now that the gardens have been put to bed adn the temperature is cooling down.

I would also like to invite you to join me on the 3rd Wednesday of each month on Facebook for our Facebook Live. I generally review what is coming up, and then show some items that are for sale and either new, timely or potentially with a bit of a discount. On occasion we have a drawing for a mystery prize for those who participate and engage with us. You might just "run into" someone you haven't talked to in a while or see something you love and would work for a future project for you. And I ship whatever is purchased or hold it for pickup if you are local.  It is usually pretty relaxed and sometimes I get a bit goofy, I am a bit of a goofball, after all. But it is a great way to support the shop if you aren't local or if you're local but struggle to get in because of your schedule.

In closing, I would like to inform you of upcoming hours updates and closings.

The store will be closing early:  2:30pm on  Tuesday, Nov 16th as I will be heading out to speak at a guild,

and 3:00 Tuesday, Dec 24th.

The store will be Closed Wed, Dec 25th through Wed, January 1st and will re-open Thursday, Jan 2nd.
