Entering a New Season
Hello everyone and welcome to all of you who are new to us!
Mother Nature is working very hard to be sure we have a white Christmas here in Vermont. The snow is coming non-stop! Because it's the season, we've had some extra open hours to coincide with happenings around festive downtown Bellows Falls and we've been fortunate to meet some new lovely people.
Mon- 10am - 5pm, Tues 12 noon - 5pm, Weds and Thurs 3 -5pm are hours for next week only. Outside of that time will be moving things around in the shop in preparation for expanding our selection. Shop Local for the Holiday cards will continue to be stamped through this week and we will be turning all full cards in at the end of next week.
We will be closed December 23 through January 2nd, reopening January 3rd. Online orders can still be placed and we will ship them out asap in the new year.
Big news for us this coming year! We are excited to be going "full time" here in the shop at Seams Sew Together and will be offering more shopping hours for you. We are also expanding our class/event offerings to include weekday, evening and weekend times.
New open hours starting January 3rd are:
Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 10am - 5pm
Wednesday 1pm - 8pm
Saturday 10-3
Sunday and Monday Closed.
We have new products coming soon and with your continued support our fabric and notion selection will get progessively larger.
Upcoming Events and Classes
All classes and events take place in our classroom upstairs. You must be able to safely navigate the stairs in order to participate.
Block of the Month: FABULOUS pattern by Charisma Horton and kits featuring the original Michael Miller fabrics used. This is an eight month BOM with several options for how you can participate. You can learn more and register here.
Sew Days: Every Thursday in January and February we are opening our classroom up for you to work on whatever project you'd like. Come anytime between 10am and 5pm, cost is $2/hour. We also will be offering a monthly Saturday Sew Day from 10am - 3pm also at $2/hr. Registering (at no cost) ahead of time is a good idea to reserve your spot. However if you find you have time to come in but haven't registered, just give us a call to see if there is space. Staff will be available for questions if needed. Learn more and register here.
Intro to Using My Machine: Learn the basics of your machine such as threading your machine, loading a bobbin, simple cleaning of your machine, sewing a straight line. This class is recommended prior to taking the Beginner Class if you are not familiar with your machine. Learn more and register here.
Beginner Class: This series of classes will get you started on your quilting journey! Learn the basics of making a quilt start to finish with the pictured quilt. Learn more and register here.
Poppins Bag: It's back! We continue to have interest in learning to make the Poppins Bag, so we have added two separate sets of classes. One set in January and one in March. This is such a great bag; it can be used for so many things! Learn more and register here.
Sunday Best: We continue to hold Sunday Best one Sunday a month. We all work out of the book Sunday Best by Sherri McConnell and Corey Yoder. Work at your leisure on whichever pattern you like in the book and maybe help out others if they are working on one you've already done. Learn more and register here.
We are really looking forward to this new year and being able to have more time building our business. We love to work with people and their fabric, so stop in to see us! Unfortunately we are not able to participate in the 2023 VT Shop Hop but if you are passing through the area during that time, stop in as we'll be doing something special during that time.
